Friday Things... Stay at Home Style 4-24-20

Believe it or not we’ve had a pretty busy week. The absolutely beautiful weather allowed us to complete 5 window installs (with all three of our crews healthy and working!), as well as a roof replacement and a siding replacement! I have to say it has been a long long time since we’ve had four different dumpsters in play! In case you’re wondering, this is how we do installs during COVID.
Speaking of dumpsters, did I ever show you this hilarious still from ourTV ad shoot? I know I like to tease Steve about beinga clean freak, but in this picture he was really just clearing away the snow so we could get a good dumpster shot. They are working on the ad now, in fact it is sitting in my inbox for edits. I’m excited to share it because I believe it will bring a smile to your face.

In addition to managing the installs Steve had quite a few sales estimates as well. This is how we do sales appointments during COVID. Our phones are ringing and people are scheduling through our website! We think this is because now that people are spending so much time in their homes they are face to face with their worst windows, or their ugly front door or the sliding glass door that won’t slide… and with the time to get an estimate they are doing it! In fact, this ie exactly what I discussed this with the KS95 morning show this week when they were kind enough to feature me on their “Open for Business” segment!
Other updates from our week include
Moving my home office downstairs. Then back up to the kitchen. Then to the place in the kitchen it always used to be. We are just constantly shuffling to see what feels right!
Distance Learning resistance in overdrive… but also combined with tears about falling behind, pride at completing tasks, and then utter dismay to acceptance in the span of an hour when we learned that the rest of school year will be completed at home.
Excitement about Kasey returning to the office to work next week. This inserts some normalcy into our daily routines and the delivery of service to our customers.
Our newsletter is being prepped for printing and mailing next week!
That’s all from here. We are loving the sunshine and very much looking forward to being outside as much as possible in the coming weeks. I think we finally have the time to explore all the glorious trails and lakes in the area.
