Friday Things - January 22, 2021
/Some weeks just FLY by. I bet you know what I mean.
Little by little.. we keep moving forward.
Highlights from his week:
We stepped up our ice skating game by signing Tessie up for lessons. It’s a great opportunity to challenge herself physically and increase her overall confidence.
We finished siding that home in Prior Lake. As always, the before and after pictures are so bright and fresh. Exhilarating! I hope this navy blue trend never goes away!
We discovered that the printer cancelled our holiday card order - explaining why it never got sent. Could be my fault. Could be theirs. Don’t care. Moving on.
Valentine’s Cards are prepped and sent to print. This is better anyway, right?
Our concerns about the supply chain continue as we are seeing significantly increased lead times on products from our manufacturer. This is workable, but it creates a need to communicate differently, and to change the production process to not scheduling anything until it arrives.
We’re playing around a bit with a new scheduling software on our website that at first blush seems easier… and I am a huge fan of the easiest way to get to the desired result. Perhaps it has been intensified by the Pandemic, but I believe that unnecessarily hard things need to go away forever.
The Bernie Sanders Mittens Memes are the absolute highlight of my week. Perhaps it is the creativity and just the sheer number of pop culture situations he can so easily be placed in. Don’t know, don’t care. Just laughing all day.
Last but not least, this week’s cheeseburger is not a cheeseburger at all. It’s a hotdish because we are in Minnesoooooota and because when I checked the weather today I saw a windchill of -10 .Also, it’s a one pot dish and that seemed easier.
